What's it all about?

Food swapping is a formal way of connecting people who have produce surplus to their needs. Rather than a monetary exchange, sufficient produce is swapped to satisfy all involved. The swap involves a mutual agreement representing each individual’s perceived value of the items being swapped. ‘Produce’ may include anything of culinary orientation for example seedlings and compost as well as recipes, apples, zucchini, lettuce and more….
Simply pick your produce into a box or bag, bring it along on Monday between midday and 2pm select the items that you would like from the produce available, chat with the produce owner/s and make a swap! If you work in Warrnambool, you may decide to pick your produce on Sunday ready for swapping during your Monday lunch break.
